Interim CEO or chairman

John acts as Interim CEO or Chairman during a management transition or leave, often leading the search for new management or rebuilding a high performing team.

As Chairman, his goal is to work side by side with the current team to make the CEO and management team hyper-successful and solve problems limiting the growth of the company. He also provides corporate development, business development and public policy work.

He is available on a full or part time basis for interim assignments on “an average of” 3-4 days per week during an engagement. Geographic focus is Southern California, but includes the Western States.


PE/VC Operating Support

Assistance to investors in sourcing, due diligence, industry expertise, interim operating management and troubleshooting.

Private equity and venture capital support for unusual or distressed situations. Guidance for new or interim management teams.

Available as a member of portfolio company Board of Directors or Chairman in relevant markets.


strategic turnarounds

Turnaround of troubled technology companies, either to drive acceleration of the business or for the identification of strategic alternatives, including managing the sale of the business if needed.

Focus is on evaluating business model problems, finding strategic market fit, resolving team challenges and accelerating the growth of the business to create shareholder value, not just cost cutting. Includes go to market strategies and pricing.

Turnaround efforts can be done as interim management or on a consulting basis to accelerate the efforts of the existing management team. Focus on trying to make the current team successful, if possible.


spac advisory & traditional financings

Assistance to technology companies and SPAC Sponsors in identifying the proper fit for target companies ready to be Public and suitable for the SPAC IPO process. Includes target search, SPAC education and consulting for management teams and transaction support.

Also, assistance to management teams and investors in preparing for and securing traditional financing, including conventional private and public financing structures, REG A+ capital raises, SPACs and non-ICO (traditional security) token offerings.


Jumpstart CEO coaching

CEO coaching and strategy development. Go-To-Market strategy and messaging. Also direct assistance with projects, troubleshooting or corporate development during times of growth or trouble.

Focus is on marketing strategy, product positioning and messaging, business model troubleshooting, revenue growth, market and product development, company strategy and executive development paired with struggling members of the team.
